Mark Heard Fuel Company is proud to sponsor “Fueling the Future,” a special grant program dedicated to supporting first-year teachers in Forsyth County. This initiative, in collaboration with the Forsyth County Board of Education Foundation, aims to provide essential funding for innovative classroom projects that aren’t typically covered by traditional budgets.
Designed as a warm welcome to Forsyth County’s newest educators, the “Fueling the Future” grant allows teachers to bring their creative visions to life, making a lasting impact on their students. This year, the grant has enabled a range of exciting projects that enrich the learning environment across various schools.
One recipient, a 7th-grade math teacher, used the grant to purchase whiteboards for team collaboration, helping students work together to solve complex problems. North Forsyth Middle School was also a beneficiary, using the funds to buy supplies for a chicken coop, enhancing agricultural learning and responsibility.
Other projects included sensory development tools for special needs students in elementary school, art supplies to re-engage students with creative expression, and environmental initiatives at East Forsyth High School, where students are learning about sustainability and conservation.
Mark Heard Fuel Company is committed to supporting education and empowering teachers to inspire their students. By fueling these projects, MHF and the Forsyth County BOE Foundation are investing in the future of both the teachers and the community.
